Linda /Paul Hurwood

Welcome to the Orifice.

First of all I’d like to say I hope this month is finding everyone as well as they can be and if not I hope you are better soon.

It’s been a bit of a slow month around these parts. The Supermarket firm I work for bought out the one I did work for and the change over, though it still has some growing pains, seems to be settling down a bit.

I love my new job now that I am no longer working at the fish counter tho I am still part of the fresh department. I now make up fresh cream cakes and deserts. What a perfect place to be working as a diabetic lol.

I am up for work every morning around 4:30 and at work by 5:45 allowing myself time for my caffeine intake and a ciggy or two before starting at 6 a.m.

By the time my day ends my feet are screaming and my back too after eight hours of work. I know part of that has to be with my being overweight but I’ve put a lot of money into this short BBW figure ha-ha.

I missed being in Cincinnati for the Labour Day weekend. WEBN (Cincinnati’s best radio station) puts on the best summer blow out fireworks and show of anyone in the USA that I know of. I hope you all had a great weekend with your backyard BBQ’s and family and friends all around that you probably don’t see a lot of other than holidays, weddings or funerals.

Sad isn’t it that our lives are so busy that we don’t have the time to visit with them more often.

Paul (a.k.a. Misk) and his Mum went down to Gravesend in Kent (Just south of London) to see his niece who just turned a year old last week for her birthday and her dedication to the church for 3 days.

My youngest daughter Mandy turned 28 this past week and my youngest grand monster turned 4 today. I feel really old today lol. I should count my blessings though at 50 I am in pretty good shape for the shape I am in.

I will leave off here as I am sure Paul will want to add a few words about his niece Jessica and his nephew Kieran when he gets home from work.

Till next time, take care of yourselves and those you love…Linda

Allo it’s the short fat brit here… Linda’s right I would like to add a few words about my trip away, but too be honest I don’t have the words to express how beautiful and great these kids are. As the old adage goes, a picture says more than a thousand words. So with that in mind I present you a couple of pics (taken by me) of Kieran James and Jessica Louise.. the darlings of the Hurwood clan...Paul

I was born Linda Sue DeZarn to a couple with four other living children. Our family was poor as far as money went but we were rich because we had love and each other. I am now 47, mother of two daughter's and proud grandmother of six beautiful grandmonsters; the four oldest being boys and the babies are both girls (took long enuff for the girls to show their pretty faces).

I met Paul Hurwood (aka miskin) online in Excite's Virtual Places (where I also met Cait) in a chat room called Ninian's Poetry Cafe. Had it not been for some of the people in that room I would not be here today. I have led a long hard life most of which can be read in my writings.

Hi there folks. My name is Paul, and I have vital statistics that resemble the national debt of several third world countries combined. As you probably know Linda is my wife and you know the story so I won’t bore you all with it again.
In the words of Joshua one of the grand monsters “I AM A FREAK” and pretty much proud of it too.
I will try pretty much anything once and if I like it or it’s bad for me I will probably try it a couple more times just to make sure. I don’t like to take things to seriously, life is way too short.
Art wise I pretty much like anything that pushes the boundaries of either taste or experimental. My main passion is Old Time Radio, it helps to stimulate the brain and gets you thinking again.

I do occasionally write poetry but I am not a perfectionist. I write what comes into my mind and just see what happens. I think that this the honest way of writing. If it doesn’t make sense it's no biggie as far as I am concerned.
My influences come from all over the place… I get moods from Pink Floyd or whatever is playing on my cd player at the time and the Goons… a wonderfully anarchic mix of surrealism and comedy… if you get the chance try them out.

In closing I want to tell you my motto in life. It’s really simple and when things go wrong and you’re not sure what to do….

FUCK IT

The translation is down to you.

Keep your eyes on the door and the cuffs on the bedpost

Paul
